Accreditation at IAAFOE (International Accreditation Association for Online Education) is a simple 4-step process:
Step 1:
Institution request for accreditation. The IAAFOE (International Accreditation Association for Online Education) Council will forward some introductory material to that institute to explain all the basic requirements, structure, functions and other key factors so that the institution gets a clear idea of what we offer.
Step 2:
If the institution agrees to all the given conditions, it contacts us through an application form that is sent along the documents with non-refundable processing fees that is communicated at that time.
Step 3:
All the applicant institutions are required to submit their self analytical report that will be a reflective report based on the working operation, curriculum, strengths and weaknesses of the institution.
Step 4:
The accrediting council then reviews this submitted report and takes the decision whether the institution is credible enough to be granted the status of accreditation. The final decision is taken after certain performance metrics measurements. There is no fixed or defined timeframe for completing the accreditation review process. However, on an average, it can take more than a year for the process to be complete and the accreditation then granted is renewable on a yearly basis.
Want to find out if the school or college in which you are interested is accredited?
Looking to see if a program has the specialized accreditation you need, and if the agencies that have accredited the school and program are legitimate? Of course, you can ask the school or program, but it’s a lot wiser to check elsewhere.
